Terms of Service

These terms apply to everyone who adds Chojio to a server or uses it, and to Premium subscriptions. Questions about them can be sent to chojiobot@gmail.com.

1. What Chojio is

Chojio is a Discord application that lets server administrators build interactive messages, forms, tickets, reaction roles and scheduled posts. It is operated independently and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discord Inc.

2. Who may use it

You must meet Discord’s own minimum age for your country. Adding Chojio to a server requires the Manage Server permission, and by doing so you confirm you are authorised to act for that server.

3. Acceptable use

Chojio may not be used to impersonate a person or organisation, to build panels that collect passwords or payment details, to send unsolicited bulk messages, or for anything prohibited by Discord’s Terms of Service, Community Guidelines or Developer Policy. Link buttons are restricted to http and https for this reason.

4. Paid plans

Premium is billed per server through Stripe, monthly, yearly or, where offered, once for Lifetime. Prices are shown at checkout. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period — you keep what you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Free trial. Each server can try Premium free for 7 days, once. No card is needed and nothing is charged; when the trial ends the server returns to the Free plan unless an administrator subscribes, and what was set up during the trial is treated as in section 5.

How to cancel. Either open /menu → Premium in the server and press Cancel, or sign in at your servers and cancel there. Both take effect immediately as a scheduled cancellation, and both can be undone before the period ends. Cancelling does not delete anything you have created.

Lifetime. Where it is offered, Lifetime Premium is a single, one-time payment that gives one server Premium for the lifetime of the Chojio service, with nothing to renew and no further charges. It belongs to the server it was bought for and cannot be moved to another server, unless support agrees to move it on request. Lifetime covers Premium as it is offered to all Premium servers at the time: its features and limits may change over time, as they do for subscriptions, and it does not commit us to operating Chojio indefinitely.

Buying Lifetime does not cancel a monthly or yearly subscription the server already has. You will be reminded of this before checkout, and you can cancel the subscription from the billing portal or as described above. Refund requests for Lifetime are handled by support in the same way as for subscriptions. If a Lifetime payment is refunded, or reversed by the card issuer, Lifetime Premium is removed from that server, which then returns to the Free plan as described in section 5.

5. What happens if you downgrade

Content created while on Premium is not deleted when a server returns to Free. Items over the Free limit become read-only and stop being posted until the server is back within the limit or resubscribes. This section must state the exact behaviour before launch.

6. Availability

Chojio is provided as-is, without a service level commitment. It depends on Discord’s API and inherits any outage or change to it.

7. Termination

We may suspend an account or a server that violates these terms or that puts the application’s standing with Discord at risk.
